My doctor called last week to see me for the bloodtest results.  All is ok but bad cholesterol is a little high  and good cholesterol is too low (which means exercises).  I lost 4 lbs since last time (of course my ibs / ibd are acting up).

Thursday afternoon I babysat for awhile as my son and ddil had some appointments in town.  Xavier spent most of the weekend here.  Anne-E spent Saturday and Sunday afternoons too.

This morning I went for a 20 min walk and had breakfast outside while it was warm but not too hot.

Let's join Sandra at
Diary of a Stay at Home Mom .

The weather (in celsius)

Partly cloudy
Mostly sunny
Partly cloudy
Partly cloudy

Those temperatures are WITHOUT the humidity.... today should be 40C!! yikes!  so the a/c is on all drapes and blinds are closed and I will be staying indoors as much as possible.

On my mind
My ibs and ibd are acting up, have had problems every day this week :(
I'd like to work on a summer reading list and a summer activity list.

On the breakfast plate

On my reading pile

On my tv

Lincoln (à la poursuite du Bone collector)
New Amsterdam
Mr. Mercedes (season 2)

Quote of the week

  1. I'm glad to hear things are opening up for you. How do they enforce those rules? So I googled 40c to see that yes, it is very hot where you are. Stay cool!

    1. You can get fines when you break the rules and stores can be closed if they dont respect them.
Yes it is very hot for us... the humidity is just awful. I don't mind when it's hot without humidity.

  2. I have been meaning to read Clan of the Cave Bear for YEARS! My best friend keeps telling me how fabulous that it is. Enjoy!

    1. Do read it, it is the best! I know some of the description is long but you can skip over it if you want, the story line is great.

  3. Hi Lucie!
How wonderful that the restrictions keep lifting more and more. I pray one day soon we all get to live restriction free again! I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. And I'm always working to keep my cholesterol numbers in check too. Ugh to aging! Lol Your inspiration brings up an excellent point though 😉 Blessings xo

  4. Sorry I'm late! Love the picture of your grandson - too cute! And you had me laughing at the midnight snack quote! I hope you feel better soon. Have a great weekend.
