Halloween 2015

We've been invited to a Halloween party this year.  The theme is 'Western'.  So I've decided to add a horse to my outfit.  Made it from a post on Pinterest.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2014

This year the Halloween party was at my friend Sylvie's house.  There was a horror theme.   Here are some pictures.  It was potluck, I brought a big pan of brownies and made some witch hats.

Halloween 2012

Well this year was a very small Halloween.  No Halloween parties.  However, I did get dressed (a little) for work & to hand out candies... we had 126 trick or treaters.
Where's Waldo?  Où est Charlie?

Halloween craft 2012

One day I'll have a Harry Potter Halloween party, so meanwhile I'm trying to craft some things that might be used for that party but also right now.
Here's my Platform 9 3/4 sign for the Hogwart's Express.
Bought a wooden plaque from the dollarstore.  Put some Gesso on it (paint that you put on wood so that the other paint doesn't sink in the wood).  Then I traced the letters & the circle on the plaque.  Mixed some red & black acrylic paint (to give the brick-red hue) and did the background, being careful not to paint over my traced letters.  After that I painted all the beige parts (mix of gold & white) and afterwards traced with the black paint.  Since I'm no good at tracing the circle isn't as round as what I'd drawn but hey, it still works ;)

Got the idea from here:

Note to self : If I prep all this food do not ask people to bring any potluck dishes. We would’ve had enough with what I had.

Halloween craft weekend

Since we were to have some visitors, mom + Kasandra (11), the weekend before Halloween, I had planned some Halloween crafts so we could have fun & chat together. I had also invited Florence (also 11) to join us.

Here’s what I had planned :
- Black eye wreath (still need to buy a wreath)
- A pixie (like in Harry Potter movies) (need blue fimo)
- Tablecloth with bloody hands
- Spider victim (this one I had no idea how to do but I thought mom might have some ideas)
- Giant spider
- Charmballs
- Mummyballs
- 2 eerie Halloween signs. (need 2 pieces of wood or store-bought signs at the dollar-store)

Unfortunately, they were unable to come as planned. I’ll keep the stuff until next year and will get the girls to the crafts at another time.

It did get me to thinking, however, that I just might prepare some crafts for us all to do during Christmas time…. Hmmmm…..

October - Halloween month

uh-oh, just remembered that last year I posted EVERYDAY during october for Halloween. We are now the 13th and I'm just thinking about it.
Guess the 13th is a great day to start putting up some Halloween posts.

Today it'll be a joke
Q. Why didn't the skeleton dance at the party?
A. He had no body to dance with.
