Happy Homemaker 2024-02-19

Good morning 

Health:  Eyes are finally back to almost normal.. that is with the spot that will stay always with the vitreous detachment.  starting to get used to it but it seems like I lost a little eyesight with it, so we'll see what that leads to.

Grandchildren:  Had supper here on Thursday night as parents worked in town. Friday dh picked them up at daycare and they had supper here.  DS came to help get them ready for ice-rink party from 6 to 8:00.  DDIL met us there with her stepmom.  It was a nice evening, not too cold.  Xavier finally caught on how to skate when he saw a small friend do it and he skated for some time (usually it lasted about 2 minutes).  He is doing good :)  There were free marshmellows, cookies, grilled cheese sandwiches, hot-dogs, hot chocolate and chicken bouillon.  There was also play-doh and coloring books and crayons in the sports center if they did not want to go outside. They did both and some sliding on tubes (small slide).

Saturday grandikds got here for lunch (with the dog who is losing ALOT of fur), then a 3 hour-nap! (wow they were tired) and spent evening here with us and sleptover as parents had an outing. We took them to McD's for supper.  Xavier coughed most of the night and grinded his teeth alot.  Anne-E had a slight fever on Saturday and also woke up to fever on Sunday.  

Sudnay, DH went with Xavier to his swimming lessons (parents do not go into the pool anymore with his age group).  DDIL came back to pick up anne-E for her swimming lesson (she goes in the pool with her) and they all had lunch here, spent the afternoon and supper.  They left around 6:30.

So you can guess that NOTHING got done here.  Today is picking up.  DH just left to pick up Anne-E as she still has a fever this morning.  She will spend the day here.... deep-spring-cleaning will have to wait another week - a good thing I had started early.
