Good morning!
Monday - wrapped stocking stuffers for ds and dd during the day. Halloween - we had 128 children pass by here.
The week was super busy at work and lots of drama because people are tired - big changes to the computer systems which have to be in place dec. 31st. Grandkids were here 2 days and slept over Friday night - with the dog. My son and ddil arrived around 10:00 and sleptover also.
Thursday - no electricity all evening as there was a fire in next town and Public Security cut off our electricity from 7 to 9 in the evening.
Saturday we did the 2-hour drive to the house of my daughter's new boyfriend - he has a nice house, and dropped off her winter tires. Son and family did photoshoot, can't wait to see the pictures.
Then another 2 hour drive to my parents, followed by a visit to my brother's where we met cousins in the afternoon and then supper at the restaurant (15 of us), followed by evening outside (it was so nice for a November day!!) and off to sleep at my parent's house around midnight.
Sunday we decluttered my parent's closet (at dad's request, while my parents were gone,.. we have to do this when mom is out - she has beginning Alzheimer and we can't do this when she is in the house or she would get angry). 3 big bags to donate and 2 for the garbage. Meanwhile, the guys cleared out the fridge and the kitchen cabinet where she puts all the wrappings she accumulates.
They found a new daycare for the children but will be part-time this week and they start on Wednesday morning.. so they will be here Monday and Tuesday.

Your weekly funny is soooooo PERFECT!!!!! And it fits with you saying you need to pick up after so many being there - sounds just like here. We only had about 50 kids because of a BIG storm that moved in Monday afternoon, but I just love seeing them in their costumes. We had 2 that stood out a lot - and anatomically correct glow in the dark skeleton with a pumping heart and a blow up chicken. I hope you have a GREAT week and work doesn't get too crazy as your deadline nears.
ReplyDeleteHello Dear Lucie! Wowzers! You had a lot of trick or treaters!! And your grands are so adorable in their costumes. 😊 I'm so glad they were able to find day care for the kiddos now. Love your funny as always! And it's so true! Lol Have a great week. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow, 128 kiddos for Halloween! I think we had 4, it was a slow year for us, probably because the city and local churches did so much over the weekend. Parents were probably done with the candy by the time Halloween rolled around for real. Sorry to hear your mom is having a hard time at the same time your work is stressful. Glad they found day care for the kids though. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear they found a Daycare, I know that was a big worry. Wow that's a lot of kids for Halloween, goodness.
ReplyDeleteLove the grandkids in their costumes, how adorable.
Have a wonderful week friend.
