Happy Homemaker 2021-05-03

Good morning!

Last week I got to see my new granddaughter twice.  She is so tiny! (not quite 7 lbs).

Had Xavier here all weekend.   DDIL had a virtual govt exam Saturday morning so ds came over with the kids around 8:30... dh held her from 8:30 to 11:30 ... then it was my turn!  DDIL arrived around 2:00 pm.  We ordered thai for supper.  Kids left with Anne-Elizabeth after supper (Xavier spent the night).

Had ibs problems last week and today I scheduled a massage appointment, my back is hurting alot and I probably have a pinched nerve in my shoulder (goes right up my neck and jaw), and I've started coughing... I feel like I'm falling to pieces this week.

Let's join Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom .

Anne-Élizabeth

Painting I made on watercolor paper last week (my cousin sent me a message that she wants it as a gift for her bday... will be happy to oblige.  She can use a dollarstore frame for it.

Looking around the house
Lots to do once again... and basement is a disaster zone as I brought down more stuff from the attic.
I NEED to keep on decluttering.

On my to-do list

Over the weekend
  • Washed main bathroom
  • Laundry
  • Last week I managed to finish weeding all flower beds and wash all outside windows :)
Monday
  • Post here - DONE
  • Menu-plan - DONE
  • Vac main floor
  • Spaghetti sauce in crockpot - cooking as we speak
  • Prep some stuffed bell peppers - DONE
  • Massage therapist appointment
  • Take pictures of more stuff I brought down from the basement yesterday (white-whicker LR kid's set) and put it up for sale if ddil & dd don't want it.
  • Brought down more girl clothing from the attic - want ddil to check it out and see if she wants anything.
  • Find a recipe and make some chocolate chia pudding (using dark chocolate milk)
  • Rest this afternoon

  1. Adorable grandchildren, glad you were able to see and spend time with them. That quote of the week is hilarious (and true, I think). Hope you get some rest, feel better, and have a great week!

  2. Love the quote!
Both of your grands are cuties. There's just something about tiny babies, isn't there?! How's Xavier adjusting to being the big brother?

  3. I adore the quote, jogging should be considered a crime of torture against ones self. I'm happy to say I'm fused (ankle fusion) and so therefore can't jog. It's a perfect and legitimate excuse.

You're grandchildren are adorable and congrats on the sweet new one. She looks so precious.

I feel you on needing a massage or something, I'm seriously thinking about getting one of those deep tissue gun massagers that athletes use.

    Hope your week is wonderful.

  5. That last quote cracked me up! Sounds to me like maybe you should rest up a bit and put off the decluttering until you're feeling better. Your grands are adorable and your painting is beautiful! Enjoy the rest of the week. :)
