Happy Homemaker 2018-11-05

Linking up to Sandra at Diary of a Stay at home mom

Morning!  It has been another week with errands every night after work and Halloween on Wednesday.  We had 335 kids pass!  Usually we get around 125-130 but the town closed down our street and had put animation, so....
DD came and spent the weekend with us as did ds and his girlfriend.  We watched a Christmas movie saturday night... bad moms. It is good but they could've made it a little more classy, quite vulgar at times .. was not necessary all that foul language.  It adds nothing to the movie.
Did the grocery shopping with dd and spent Saturday afternoon cooking.  She made 3 tourtières for her, a batch of meatballs and got a 5lb bag of beets cooked and pickled.  I made some spaghetti sauce and got some hamburger patties made to be frozen.
DH took dd's car to the garage to get her snow tires on.  He bought some sheetrock for the bathroom and some wood to strenghten the gazebo roof for winter.  He also raked up more leaves.
Sunday dd left around 10 to go back home.  DS and his girlfriend left at 11:30 with the cat (kitty had spent the week here).  After they left I vacummed basement and main floor and got the 2 bathrooms washed as well as did laundry, took down Halloween decorations, made muffins, cook some hard-boiled eggs and pay bills, so today should be a more relaxing day.

Quote of the week

  1. You've been busy!! Sounds like you live in a neighborhood with lots of families. When we moved into our house five years ago there were two boys on the street and no other kids. Over the years it's transitioning to young families again and I think there were quite a few this year. We always go to one of our DD's homes so haven't actually been at home for Halloween. Enjoy this week!

  2. I SOOOOOO agree about Bad Moms - would've been a really cute movie if the language had been less offensive. Love your pictures and the quote with Snoopy is spot on! Have a GREAT week.

  4. Great costumes! Wow, that's a lot of trick-or-treaters. We had hardly any...it was a bit sad but we had lots of candy left for our boys who don't go out anymore. Glad I bought the good stuff. Sounds as if you've been super busy. Hope you get to relax a bit this week and that it's a great one for you!

  5. Sounds like you had a great last week, Lucie, and got a lot accomplished! Good job! I don't know if you'll see it or not, but, in response to your comment on my blog, the background I have is from Blogger. It's under NATURE in the choices. Have a blessed week ahead! <3
