Happy Homemaker 2026-10-26

Good morning!

Last week was a short work week (only worked on Tuesday and Wednesday).  Thursday was colonscopy (they took out a polype) but says all is fine, however she will schedule a radiography for small intestine at some point.

Friday was breakfast with some cw's (2 of them retired) and then 3 of us went shopping a little.  Then I went for a few things at costco's.

Xavier seems fine (dh went to his hockey practice Sunday morning) but I, on the other hand, have been coughing and coughing.  Have started up my vitamins and trying to take care of myself.  Had a dinner (already paid for on Tuesday at work) but will depend if I am still coughing alot.  It was for donations for Centraide, well it'll still be a donation but will my dinner to a cw.  

Update: went to hospital this morning have beginning of pneumonia so antibiotics for 7 days.  Ribs are hurting, very tired, lots of coughing and low energy.  For the dinner seems my cw was able to cancel my box.

Had a beautiful sunny weekend and did what was needed outside (mostly)

Looking around the house

Basement is looking better but still need some work down there.  At least it's clean now.

Thinking and pondering

This coughing, want it to stop NOW.  Have been working on a few things on my procrastination list.

On my to-do list

Over the weekend

• Wash main bathroom
• Laundry
• Deep-clean basement corner where entryway is (walls, ceiling, floor, woodwork, furniture)
• Wash outside windows (only office and bathroom to do but they can be done from inside when I take off screen windows)
• Halloween outside decor is done
• Choose photos so I can tell photograph which ones we want
• Check out vacations, sick days vs calendar to help determine retirement date

Monday

• Post here - DONE
• Prep for in-town work tomorrow -TBD,... depends on coughing
• Went to hospital, radio of lungs, have pneumonia, will need a 7-day antibio treatment
• Transfer tomorrow's parking reservation.
• Will rest and maybe work on Christmas wrapping.

Decluttering

• 1 false birch tree (about 5ft) given to town hall for Christmas decor (lights were not working anymore)
• 1 notebook
• 1 child bathing suit
• 1 child stroller sold on marketplace
• 1 mitten
• 2 hangers

Monday - DH has someone coming over to plug his hearing aids on tv - UPDATE: didn't work.

Tuesday - in-town work with lunch with CW's... maybe UPDATE: Not happening.
