Happy Homemaker 2024-06-03

 Good morning

Last Thursday dh picked up grandkids and they slept here as ds was in another town for work and ddil had a funeral to attend on Saturday (she left earlier) in same town as ds was in.

Friday dh picked up grandkids from daycare and ds came for supper, as soon as his train arrived, and spent the night also.  It was nice out so dh got a fire started in the evning.  Neighbors came to chat for awhile.  

Saturday was the races in our town.  we cheered on the ones that came on our street (the 5km and 2,5 km race), then we went to were the activites where and there were some inflatable games for grandkids, cookies, popsicles, frisbees.  Xavier was in the 1km race - his 1st race.  He was so excited (pics below).  Afterwards we came back for lunch here and they spent the day and left at 9:00 pm.  DDIL was coming back that night too.

Sunday was picking up and then since it was nice out relaxing on the patio in the afternoon.

Looking around the house
The house is fine since I picked up yesterday.  Put the new coverlet on my bed, love the small
pink flowers (like a Laura Ashley type).
Thinking and pondering
My stomach is always bothering me.. wish they would find a cure for Crohn's disease.  I am waaay better than I was at the beginning but never quite allright.
Yay for sunny days!

  • Vaccum main floor
  • Mop floors
  • Wash main bathroom
  • Dust kitchenette
  • Laundry, laundry, laundry, laundry 
  • Wash my bedding and remake bed with new comforter
  • Cook some couscous for lunches this week
  • Cook some veggies for lunches this week
  • Cut up pineapple
  • Make some hard-boiled eggs for lunches
  • Cook some do-re-mi cheese for lunches (grilled slices of cheese)
  • Cook 1 pound of bacon for croques -monsieur supper Monday night
  • Summer aqua nail polish for my toes


Monday
  • Post here ✅
  • Prep for in-town work tomorrow 
  • 9:30 massage therapist appointment
  • Reserve tickets for a small boat ride to next town for June 27th with dh, sis and bil.  Was 35$ per person last year and this year is a special at 10$! ✅
  • Air out winter comforter and put it away until Fall
  • Repair 2 pair of outdoor pants for Xavier
  • ... and I'm sure I'll find lots more to do ;)

Next Saturday funeral parlor for neighbor's mom.

Workshop week on FB... crafts, drawings... etc... June 3rd to 7th, so will try to catch that

    Ha, how nice that Xavier participated in the races, nice pictures of that.
    That is awful, isn't it, Crohn's disease, I wish you strength with that.

    Race day sounds so fun! Such cute pics of the kiddos too. REading all your meal prepping and I want to master croque monsieur or madame one of these days. :) Your funny is so true! Lol We've hit that age I guess. Sigh
