Good morning!
Last week was spring break.. including daycare! so grandkids spent the week here. My husband took care of them as I was teleworking but I took longer lunch hour and finished earlier - will make up the time this week.
Work is busy and not the best these days, but it is what it is.
My daughter came home last Friday night for the weekend. she left sunday around noon. We went to my son's house on Saturday so dd could see the grandkids and dh helped my son set up some gym equipment. We had lunch there. We left around 3:00 and the kids arrived around 4:30. we ordered some thai for supper. Grandkids spent the night and my son and ddil picked them up Sunday after lunch.
Love the grandkids but they do have energy!
Sunday afternoon was picking up here.
Let's join Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom .
Had lots of snow and wind over the weekend and it was windy all last week. This week should be above freezing point. today is 0C but windy. DH and I did go out for a walk this afternoon.
On my mind
Easter - we want to go to my parent's house (we will plan around my mother's not helping us), but I know ddil wants us to stay here as it is Anne-E's birthday. I hate being caught in the middle and I don't feel I should be caught in the middle and made to feel guilty.

Funny of the week
Love the funny this week - especially because of what you said about their energy LOL. Sorry to hear work sounds like a chore right now - I hope it all works itself out. I also hope Easter works itself out - so hard to be caught in the middle and struggling with guilt one way or the other. Maybe you could propose to ddil to celebrate AnnE's day a bit early or even a bit late since she's so young and it's harder to deal with your mother's situation right now - there is always a compromise. I hope you have a GREAT week.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting to spend and enjoy so much time with your grandkids. Sorry for the drama regarding Easter. Could they not just go with you to your mother's home? Hope your work slows a bit and that you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Lucie - you're such a wonderful Grandma - both of you wonderful grandparents. I imagine they get to be a handful at times. The video is SO adorable! The way Xavier is dancing just makes me smile. Innocence and joy! ;) And I think you're right that you shouldn't feel in the middle or guilty about Easter. There is always a compromise that can be found. And Anne-E is so young she won't know the difference which day you do it anyways. I hope you have a blessed rest of your week my Friend.

It is hard to make choices when you have elderly parents and young grandkids. Fortunately our family has made a tradition of celebrating holidays a week before so that both sides of the family have a chance to celebrate. We often have birthdays a week before or after too. Hope your work situation improves.
