Happy Homemaker 2021-09-13

Good morning!

Last week I managed to deep-clean the rest of the basement and basement entry (except for the bathroom which I will do probably next week).  I also washed main bathroom and did laundry on Friday as we were away all weekend.

We went to my mom's house and visited family.  We did clean out a few things while dad took mom out for half an hour (she has a beginning of Alzheimer's).  Then on the way back we visited my niece... she bought an old mobile home about 2hours away from her parent's.  she will be living there alone with her duck, cat, fish.  she found a job near there that she started last week.  She does have lots of work to do to renovate that house, ouch!

Neighbor came over after we arrived and she does not have good news for her health... she has been passing tests since last month and all has to be done quickly.  She has a mass they will have to take out and analyze, but not withstanding that they will be cutting out LOTS of organs.  She is my age.

We went to bed very early for us last night 8:45 because we had not slept well at my parent's house (smelled of skunk all night!  it's the 21 that my dad has caught this summer... he catches them in a cage and drops them off farther off).

At midnight got a call from ds, Anne-E was vomiting alot and they wanted to go to the hospital with her.  So I got dressed and went to their house to watch xavier while he slept.  got back home at 3:30.  Got up at 7:00 and told them I would babysit Xavier for them this morning so they can get some sleep.  So my well planned day is not gonna work out and I will be tired!  Oh and Anne-E has gastro (the flu) so nothing serious that won't pass - good!

  1. Absolutely adorable picture of Xavier and Anne E. I sure hope she's feeling better and that you are ALL able to catch up on your sleep. LOL at your funny! I hope you're able to finish your deep clean. I'll be starting ours in November when we return from our trip and am actually looking forward to it!! Have a WONDERFUL week.

  2. Glad it wasn't anything too serious with your granddaughter, hope she feels better soon. And that you are all able to get some rest. 21 skunks?! Yikes. Are they like rabbits and breed quickly? We see the occasional one around here but never so many. Hope you have a wonderful and restful week.

  3. Oh my goodness, Anne is getting big! Both grands are so cute. Isn't is amazing how quickly they grow?
