Happy Homemaker 2018-04-16

Linking up to Sandra at Diary of a Stay at home mom

Been a busy week.
Tuesday had to go vote against union dues going up.. of 800 people, only 55 went and half of these were union reps... so if it passes I don't want to hear any criticizing.. pfff!  That was only our section of the union, we will know the result of the votes beginning of June.  Afterwards I got a cake for dd's upcoming bday at costco and a few things to add to her gift at Winners.

Wednesday was a new yoga class.. yoga with balls.  I would've called it massage with balls, absolutely no yoga in there.  I had bought fitness balls at Christmas and didn't know how to use them so that's why I am following this class.  it's from 4:05 to 4:50 at my workplace.  We did upper back this week.. ouch!! It hurt for a few days.  Next week is the feet.

My daughter was to come and spend the weekend and have her birthday celebration. (She lives 2 hours away from us), but my husband decided to go to my parent's house instead to pick up the gazebo we bought in the small ads since the weekend temperatures were crap anyways (3 hours to and 3 hours back).  We picked up my daughter on the way Saturday and she came with us.  Had lunch at my parent's with my sis and my brother and then to my other brother's for supper.  Great family time.  Dropped off dd on the way back and got home at 00:30.

My daughter's birthday is the 18th so she will be coming next weekend - I put the cake in the freezer.

The weather
Rain, hail and snow for today.  Will go out only if necessary.
The rest of the week is a little warmer so gray and rain all week until Saturday.

  1. Sounds like you've got a lot going on, Luludou. Happy Birthday to your daughter. I'm sure with her living two hours away every moment together is treasured. Have a blessed week ahead and, hopefully, nice weather will arrive your way soon. Blessings! <3

  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your daughter. Sorry your weekend was a bit wonky, but at least you get to see your daughter twice! Great family picture too. Stay in, stay warm and stay safe in the nasty weather. Have a GREAT week.

  3. Looks like your dinner was fun! I hope she had a wonderful birthday! Its so hard when family is all spread out, ours is as well although we live the furthest (6 and a half hours too many) but we try as well. And a shawl with pockets! Fun! Absolutely everything is better with pockets! Happy week!
