Good morning, a cool 12C here this morning
Last Wednesday ds dropped off grandkids at 7:00 pm as he was leaving early with ddil next morning (she was going out of town for work and to pick up their new-to-them car) and he was working in town.
Grandkids slept here and grandpa took them to bus stop on Thursday. After school dh picked them up and they had supper here. I went with Anne-E to her dance class where ds met us to pick up grandkids but Xavier wanted to spend another night here so he stayed.
Friday they had a pedagogical day and I had taken a day off (had some sick days to take). Xavier spent most of the day here; he did go home for 2 hours with dh who went to mow the lawn, so he played with his sister - ds was in telework. Anne-E wanted to stay home to see her mom when she got back but Xavier came back here. He loves the ipad but I'm don't agree with him spending lots of time on it so have to keep him busy which means I did nothing on the homefront but we played cards, colored, painted, took a walk, looked for bugs. He said he wanted to stay another night but it was Hockey pool night with his dad (at one of our neighbor's house), so off he went with his dad. He came twice in the evening and told him no later than 9:30 to come back and go to bed because he had hockey practice Saturday. He finally decided to go back home with his dad.
Saturday we all went to his hockey practice and then we all headed to dd's (2 hour away). Had lunch there and in the afternoon we all went to local Fête with carrousel and rides for a few hours. DS and family stayed for supper but we left around 6:00 pm and had supper on our way home. Was nice to have all family together.
Sunday dh worked at the polls - anticipation vote from 8:30 and got back home 8:45 pm. I spent whole day in housechores.
Today dh is working at polls again so more housechores for me (yay! ;) ) and I do have some paperwork to do.
