Happy Homemaker 2025-06-16

Good afternoon

Mom is still in hospital waiting for placement.  She eats less and is so-so.

Tuesday was in-town work.  Rest of the week was telework.

Wednesday I worked 1,5 hour in the morning before my abdominal echography, went well. Afterwards a few errands at costco (wanted shorts but didn't have my size so ordered them and some nightgowns at costco online), went to winners got 2 sweaters, did my temu return too.  Worked all afternoon.  Also got an order in for Christmas pj's ... hoping it all fits... bought it for every women at dd's for Christmas (9 in all).. a very good price and thought it would be fun.  Still following the investigation at work.

Friday was a neighborhood fête at city hall.  Grandkids, ds and ddil came for that.  Games for the children and hot-dogs for all.  DH then went to his cousin's 65th afterhour party but I stayed here to rest a little.

Saturday was regular housechores.  Sunday was Father's day (thought for Dad) .  Grandkids spent part of the day here while dh helped ds and ddil with starting the pool and fixing the leak at the filter.  They came here for supper on the BBQ.  Xavier stayed the night but Anne-E wanted to sleep with her mother.

Today was 'extra' housechores.  DH took Xavier back for lunch so he could go in his pool today.

Looking around the house
Looks fine and finally getting to working slowly in the basement.

Thinking and pondering
Mom - she needs a 'stable' place and hospital is not it - hospital just takes her vitals, they do not wash her (she says no but...), they do not medicate her, they don't make sure she eats.  Let's just say she needs a better place to be.

TV this week

  1. Happy new week to you dear Lucie!
Prayers sent for your Mom to be placed soon and I hope it helps her feel more settled. Love your funny - if I had a fitbit and was running it would say that too! Lol😂 Big hugs to you. xoxo

  2. I am so sorry things are moving so slowly for your mom. I am the person managing my elderly Father’s life and it is hard work. I am new to your blog and am wondering what this trial is about that you mention?
    Have a sweet week!

    1. I work for a govt agency and they are under investigation for some contracts and it is a big investigation that is online with lots of witnesses.

  3. Your fitbit joke made me laugh! Mine would do the same thing lol! I always say if I'm running you should run also because something is chasing me! Sounds like you had a very full weekend! What a good idea to get Christmas PJs early, I never think about Christmas until the month before then I'm in a mad rush. It would be smart to start earlier! Have a nice week!
