Happy Homemaker 2024-07-08

 Good morning 

What a busy week last week.  Guys came for the roof - it is done - we are in the clear for 20 years. woohoo.  They stayed 2 days, 1 night... lots of running around serving food and water... it was really hot.  Had taken half a day Tuesday and Wednesday off work for this.  My brothers and their employees did a good job.  we went from a red roof to a charcoal roof.

Thursday was back to telework and washing beddings .

Friday was telework and supper at restaurant for sil's 50th anniversary followed by coffee at nephew's house.  got home around 10:00.

Saturday we did a few errands (returned materials not used for roof), dh sold a mat on marketplace and delivered it, gaz at costco's, and then we went at our friend's house to have breakfast with them - they had said around 10:00 and we got there EXACTLY on time.  Had a great weekend with friends... lots of laughter.  we see each other (6 couples) once a year and it is always precious.  We got home Sunday at noon.      

This week should be more restful :)

The weather

It was a hot week last week and more of the same this week... wishing for Fall weather.  As I am posting this I see they lowered temperatures and added rain!! It was to be hot and sunny all week.  I like it better this way ;)

Still need to clean up basement... guys used the bathroom there and the bedrooms.

Monday

• Finish cleaning up main floor ✅
• Finish cleaning up main bathroom ✅
• Mop floors ✅
• Wash patio window and all back basement windows and back windows (except office because I have to move the desk so will be done at another time) ✅
• DH weeded back of the house for me ✅
• Have a few options for this afternoon:  go outside and read in the shade since it's gonna be nice and hot; work in the basement; find the Christmas ornament I want to work on (looked for the picture last week and just couldn't put my hand on it... grrrr)
• Prep for in-town work tomorrow
• Add-on:  Dh just told me he is picking up grandkids for supper tonight as we have not seen them all week

Decluttering 

• 2 pens
• 1 roofer mat dh sold on marketplace

Upcoming this week

Kids are going to music festival on Friday night so grandkids will stay here for the night.
