Happy Homemaker 2021-07-05

Goodmorning!

Staycation : took a week off work last week (except for Friday morning I teleworked).  I had lots to do at home.  dh was working so just stayed home and did things.  Monday was some errands.  Beginning of the week was very hot and humid than cold and rainy the rest of the week and weekend.  Did not get any outdoor work done.

I watched the grandkids Tuesday am and had Xavier Thursday afternoon.  We also had him on Saturday and he slept here.

Canada day was last Thursday but dh had to work.  In fact he also worked Sunday afternoon from noon.  He got home around 9:30.  He will be tired today.  Smoke detector battery started beeping at 4:00 am... smoked detector got ripped out of the ceiling.  A new one will be bought this week.  It was old and needed replacing anyways.

Let's join Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom .

On my mind
Govt regulations are out for the return to work.  From sept to december we will go back to the office if we feel up to it and in accordance with our employer.  Starting January 2022, it is a minimum of 2 days a week at the office, the rest of the work can be telework.  Of course it will all depend on our bosses.
Vacations coming up in two weeks.  No idea yet if we will do anything... it is still not back to full 'normal' here.

On the breakfast plate
1 oat toast with marmelade and 1 glass of oat milk

On my reading pile
The Shelter of Stones de Jean M. Auel.  The fifth in the Earth's children series.

On my tv
La belle vie avec Go-Van
Lincoln (à la poursuite du Bone collector)
New Amsterdam
Absentia
Clash
Mr. Mercedes (season 2)
The Walking dead (season 8)
Christmas movies!!!  dvrd a bunch that were available for Christmas in July.

  2. Look at you on the decluttering! Wow, lots done. You may need a vacation after your staycation ;) Glad you are getting your smoke detector replaced. The big thing here is to always check them with the time change (so every spring and fall). Hope you have a great week!
