Happy Homemaker 2020-09-14

 Good morning!

So last week the dishwasher went kaput!  Flames and smoke  - a good thing we were there to stop it right away.  We will be shopping for a new dishwasher.

DH was sent home Friday afternoon after a covid test, we are awaiting results.  4 cases at his work.  don't think he has it, had a minimal chance of contracting it and no symptoms but we wait... and are confined until results.  We had a funeral to attend on Saturday (his godfather) but we couldn't go - he was upset about that.

We haven't seen the kids this weekend either because of this, so we puttered around the house.  He finally cleared up the garage enough to get the car in there.  Mostly reorganized.  I will be making a few jars of beets this week... was going to do it on Sunday but ran out of sugar and can't go out to the grocery store.

Hopefully we get results today and then we can get out and do our stuff.

Bathroom blinds finally arrived at the store, dh will pick them up this week.

How I am feeling this morning
A bit jittery, think it's my husband being home that does that ;)  I'm in a cleanup mood but he is cramping my style , haha.

Waiting for dh's results of Covid-19.  He shouldn't have it, but you never know.
Can't wait to see my grandson.

  • Clear up the office - guest room... it's a catchall room

To relax this week, I will  (or should I say in my crafting basket)
Finished knitting socks for mom, might start a new pair.
Watch a few movies with some good tea in my pj's.
Crochet a pair of baby boots for Xavier

    Adorable pictures of your grandson. I'll keep you in my prayers for a negative test for your hubby - so sorry you're having to quarantine again while you await the results. Tray and have a good week.

    This daggone covid is so disruptie.. especially when it disrupts us from doing family things which are so important.. I love your Garfield.. Unfortuantely it is me a lot of the time1

    My husband tends to cramp my cleaning up plans when he's around as well. Perhaps it's part of the male genetic make up? Ha! Hope he gets a clear on his Covid test very soon, I'm sure the waiting is nerve-racking. Curious to hear your thoughts on the Helen Russell book. I loved her book The Year of Living Danishly. Hope you have a great week!

    I'm so used to having my husband home now lol But I remember when he was in the military, if he was home on leave it seemed that my whole day was thrown upside down lol
