Happy Homemaker 2024-12-16

Good morning

Another very busy week at work, had to do 12 hours of overtime... last sprint this week before the holidays will be busy too.

We saw grandkids back from their trip on Thursday evening when we brought their dog back to them.

Friday grandkids were here all day and slept over.  Grandpa baybsat them as I was working.  We took them out to see some lights and to do some errands after supper.

Saturday morning I did housechores (got rid of the dog hair) while dh played with grandkids.  In the afternoon we went to a local Christmas market (where their mom was selling some Scentsy products) and there was a Christmas festival for the kids with play stations and some diy activities.  The had sausage entrées, soup, juice, beer, wine, donut holes, small maple cones, all free.  DH came back from his work trip around 3:45 and we all left then.  They had something with a friend in the evening, so DH called his cousin and his wife and we went to a restaurant together (had never celebrated his 70th and his wife's 65th, so dh paid for them).  Another one of his cousin and girlfriend were also at restaurant, so we all invited them over afterwards.  They all left aournd 1:15 am... yikes!! the Holiday season has begun ;)

Sunday I wrapped a gift and got more $$ cards ready.  Then I redid 5 more ornaments (gave some away that were not planned, so...).  Delivered 1 more gift to a friend.  DH made 93 donuts.

Today I work.  DH is doing errands.  Canada Post should be back to work tomorrow, so will mail the cards but people will probably get them after Christmas.

When he woke up on Saturday morning he wanted to see the elf mischief...he said he heard noises during the night.  He finds them sitting on the kitchen counter and they had eaten an ice-cream sandwich and where full of chocolate.  He laughed and said now I know what was the noise I heard, it was the freezer door opening! hahaha
