Happy Homemaker 2019-01-28

Linking up to Sandra at Diary of a Stay at home mom

Morning!
Last week was hyper-busy at work - spent 2 days working with my ex-boss on a job I used to do (but at the time I thought that he thought I was not necessary at that job, not so now!)
One day was suicide-prevention training - very interesting class.  Not sure I'm quite ready to help someone but it's always good to add to my knowledge.
Then I took Friday off (had to go in on my regular Monday-off) and with my Mondy this week, made me a 4-day weekend!
Got lots accomplished during the weekend.

This week we had a day of freezing rain too.  Yesterday we got a whole foot of snow! ... just a few inches where in the forecast.  More snow is on the way, as well as cold temperatures.

Quote of the week

  1. love the quote... my friend's father always told her that people are not as interested in you as you are... so she would keep perspective. Your quote reminds us that each person has value.
I redid my shelves after watching a few episodes and do find happiness entering the closet now. I need to find my sock needles and make more as ours have become so holey my toe poked through last night!

    1. That was good advice from your friend's father. It just feels right when everything is in it's place and it is not all cluttered!

  3. We are holding steady about 8 inches of snow in my area. We'll be getting some frigid weather in the middle of the week! I watched Marie Kondo. I wouldn't follow ALL of her methods - but some of them really inspired me to declutter and to fold our clothes differently!

    1. We are going to get a lot more snow this week, yuck, on the roads it's not so nice. I'm already doing not so bad on the decluttering but new methods are always nice to look at and learn

  4. I keep wanting to start a jigsaw puzzle - is that what you mean by puzzling? And I was really worried about your weather til I saw it was celsius ;)

  5. Are you going to try the Konmari method? I like it so far other than being quite stuck on the paper stage. Your freezing rain photos are so pretty but of course, ice on the trees isn't always nice. Hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. I've already decluttered alot, but always on the lookout for new ways of organizing and decluttering. Ice on trees is nice, but not on the roads! ;)
