CIJ day 8 / jour 8
Movie-night in jar…
could use the bigger jars than the Mason jars.
These jars can hold
alot! These
can be found at Walmart. (These are $9.99 and $7.99 respectively). You can always mention to the person you are
giving them too that if they want a refill next year, you need the container
back ;)
Include a dvd,
M&M’s, liquorice sticks, chips, chocolate bars, small bottle of soda pop, popcorn,
popcorn seasoning, gift card to movie rental place, …
Or it could be a
theme movie big gift jar.
- Polar Express : dvd, Christmas ornament, Believe bell, hot cocoa
- New Year’s Eve dvd, Party horns and noisemakers, serpentines, confettis, and a half-liter of wine with plastic wine glasses.
- Chocolat (2000) or Charlie and the Chocolate factory: lots of chocolate! Hot cocoa mix with mini marshmallows, chocolate liqueur, gift-card for a chocolate massage, And why not include some chocolate bark?

Some
variations :
- Chitty-chitty Bang-bang : I love to watch that old movie! So magical. Fill your jar with the dvd, lollipops and candies, lots of candies!! And a rag doll or a music box.
You can see how you
can adapt that idea to any film you like.
I’d love to hear your ideas for films and gifts to go with them.
The movie night jar is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI would just love to receive something like that... hint, hint if someone in the family is reading my blog ;)
DeleteI have one of these big jars in my sewing room with thread in it!
ReplyDeleteFor a gift you could fill it with whatever the persons hobby is. Kitchen items (timer, cookie scoop, if a griller items for it), gardening (seeds, gloves, book Gift card etc.), sewing items, fishing, hunting, camper (off, flashlight etc), or several other things.
I like the movie ideal.
I love the movie night in a jar!!
ReplyDeleteMovie night in a jar would be a hit in our household. I love bark - especially the one with cranberries and pistachios.
