Happy Homemaker 2019-11-18

Hello :)

Last Monday we went used-car shopping for my daughter and she found one.  Finally seems she will get an amount for insurance so that will help her out (it was a rental).

At work it is official I will be going back to my other team next week (moving my desk), will go back with the girls which is good.  Starting to have lots more to do.
Thursday we ran some errands after work (so I won't be going Monday as was my intention - hate going shopping nowadays.  Used to love it when I was younger)
Took Friday off because I had an osteopathe appointment.

My sis quit her job this week and she will be starting her new job in January (better pay and work from home) - nice!

Mom is feeling better - she has been sick last 3 weeks with 3 different kinds of antibiotics.

Put up the Christmas tree during the weekend, housechores and a bit of baking.

This week should be more 'normal' temperatures for this time of year.

Happy homemaker 2019-11-11

Morning!

So my daughter's car was declared totaled (scrap) and she needs to find another ASAP, but since she has returned to school and still has another year to do, her budget isn't the same.  We will be going to see used cars with her Monday morning (she lives 2 hours from here).

This weekend I started slowly getting Christmas decor up.  Just the Christmas tree is left to do.  Had a few Christmas crafts and repairs to do too.  My husband helped all day Saturday at my son's house to put on the Christmas lights outside.  My son and daughter-in-law came for lunch on Saturday.
Sunday I continued with Christmas decorating and my husband went to a hockey game with neighbor.

    Happy Homemaker 2019-11-04

Well, it's been a busy week!

Halloween - we had almost 300 trick or treaters even though it was raining alot.  I will post some pics.  I got dressed for work too (Indiana Jones).
Then Friday was an Autumn storm with high winds - below are pics of the building where my daughter lives and what was left of her car.  Some people are without electricity since Friday.

I've been having pain in my hips again so Monday at 9:00 have a massage therapist appointment.

Had a busy weekend of housechores so hopefully Monday I can finally do my Rudy day as I planned ;)

      Happy Homemaker 2019-10-28

      Morning!

Last week was a busy one at work and I had a half a day of the suicide prevention training. Had paint class, spanish and posture 101 during my lunch hours and the remaining lunch hour was a fund-raising bingo for Entraide (I work 4 days so all lunch hours were busy this week).

My daughter in-law's baby shower was on Saturday - she had a nice group of friends and received lots of gifts.  My daughter and I were there too and we all had lunch at a nice restaurant.  Afterwards the girls had games but me & my daughter left (as did her sister and mother-in-law) because we had a family supper at my sister-in-law for my niece's 19th birthday.

I finally decorated a bit inside and out for Halloween and started making Halloween bags (I ran out of bags though).

Did odds and ends but no regular housechores.
