Happy Homemaker 2026-04-13

Good morning 

Wednesday ddil, dog cats spent afternoon & evening.  DH picked up grandkids from school and daycare.  They were having 4 visits for their house that day and one Friday morning.  DH drove dog home Friday at noon.   House is sold! conditional to inspection and bank... crossing our fingers, that house has work to be done on.

Thursday while in town for work went with cw's to buy a retirement gift for another cw (a pendant made by an artist bought at the museum).  was fun.

Cold was getting better but Friday during the night woke up with really sore throat and have been feeling yucky all weekend, it's back in full force.

Weekend was housechores, lots to do.  I see a small spot without snow in our backyard!

Over the weekend

• Laundry
• Deep spring-clean LR and hallway (woodwork, blinds, windows, air out curtains, ceiling, walls, floor, fireplace, frames, furniture - couches to do when we can open up so they can dry better)
• DH did all ceilings on main floor (except for my bedroom that was done)
• Made soup 
• Made poor-man pudding 
• Aired out my winter coat and ski pants
• Washed a pair of winter boots
• Was able to change my work parking from Thursday to Tuesday which is great as I have an appointment on Thursday
• Ordered medication to be picked up on Monday
• Dusted and cleaned kitchenette
• Vac'd main floor
• Got the books out to the free library (mom's and some children's books from here)
• Watch 3 gutivate free webinars

Monday

• Deep spring clean bathroom (walls, woodwork, big shower, windows, blinds, floor and all)
• Laundry
• Post here - DONE
• Prep for in-town work tomorrow
• Have had some Christmas stuff outside for past 2 months (from parent's house) still smelling musty, will decide what to do with it and put it away or give it away.
• Work on Christmas ornament
• Sketchbook revival sessions to view if not too late

Decluttering

• 1 children's ski pants (given to sis for her granddaughter)
• 1 sweater
• 1 pair of socks
• 12 cassettes
• 18 children books
• 1 pair of shoes

Simple pleasure

When a room is all washed up and smells fresh, being able to breath through my nose (darn cold), sitting outside in the sun
