Happy Homemaker 2025-08-25

Good morning!  Only 4 months until Christmas Eve!

Friday evening we went to Country festival in next time with DS and grandkids (DDIL sleepling at my sis's house as she had worked in that town on Friday).  Kids played with blowup games, had temporary tatoos, face makup disguise, and supper at McD's.  Left around 8:00 pm (had been there since 4:00 pm)  We got to see a little bit of the rodeo but from afar as we did not have tickets.

Saturday morning ds and grandkids came for breakfast.  Guys left with Xavier for his baseball.  Anne-E stayed here with me, got a few housechores done then.  The guys dropped off Xavier at his friend's bday party afterwards.  Anne-E and ds took a nap while dh went back to pick up Xavier around 2:00 pm.  A cw and his husband dropped by for a few minutes on their 99km bike ride.  2:300 DS & grandkids left for another bday party 2 streets from here.  DDIL met them there.  She and Anne-E left early in the evening.  DS and Xavier came back at 10:30 and slept here.  Was my dad's birthday, first one without him, missed him.

Sunday morning, after breakfast, ds left to pick up groceries and Xavier decided to stay here until noon.  He played with Lego and painted until dh drove him and the dog home at noon (dog was here since Saturday).  Did a few things around the house but a slower day.

With grandkids and dog here this weekend, I had a few things to do to be back to 'normal'

Planning for Fall and Thanksgiving weekend and need to figure out what to wear for weekend wedding at a campground.

• Get ready for in-town work tomorrow - DONE
• Prep clothes for next weekend (wedding and camping) - hesitating between 2 dresses (would need a slip but who has slips anymore??)
• Celebrate Rudolph day!! (25th of the month)

Decluttering

• 1 t-shirt
• 1 blouse

Christmas prep

• Received some things for grandkids stockings from TEMU (magic tricks, frog rings, soccer and baseball bracelets for the boys, Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch) bracelets for the girls, dinosaur tatoos for the boys and butterfly barrettes for the girls.
• Updated list of people for whom I make Christmas ornaments.. now to figure out exactly what I'll do... I do have an idea.

Noon webinair on the 28th - Essential oils and herbs for immune system

Next weekend - My cousin's 2nd wedding at a campground where my family is.  Will go see mom during the weekend.  She is doing better and has started to walk again by herself.
