Happy Homemaker 2025-06-23

Good morning -  I'm on vacation until next Wednesday as we have our national holiday (St-Jean-Baptiste june 24 and Canada day July 1st) and took a few days of vacation to give me 1,5 week.

No change for Mom, she is still in hospital waiting for placement.  She eats less and is so-so.

Monday Xavier was here, Tuesday was in-town work, Wednesday was phone appointment with gastro (of course, according to them, I am ok... which I am NOT!! wish they had the abdominal pain and D that goes with that)., Friday, after work we got some ice cream at local ice cream parlor with neighbors.  Saturday was housechores and we went in town for supper on a terrasse (outside tables) and walked around - there was a Country music festival, Sunday was a whole lot of NOTHING (had a headache all day).

Today is our 35th wedding anniversary, we sure have changed alot!

Way too hot for me -- real feel at 105 on Monday and Tuesday.  A/C is on

Looking around the house

Did housechores on Saturday and no guests so all is ok (except for all the papers in the office which I have to go through).  Have made a to-do list (with a procrastination section ;) ), hoping to get some of it done this week

Thinking and pondering

Mom - we will be going to town on July 5th for a cousin's 60th bday and we will go see mom while there (3 hour drive to and 3 hour drive back).  we will probably spend the weekend there.

TV this week

• Veille sur moi (saison 1)
• The Handmaid's tale (finished seaon 1 yesterday, starting season 2)

Interesting blog I saw this week

Nothing, have been listening to the investigation done at work on govt channel.  They are now on pause for summer and will start back mid-August.  I have had to sign some confidentiality papers and might be required to send them info... not too worried as I am at the bottom of the food chain ;)
