Happy Homemaker 2024-10-28

 Good evening!  

Left early for errands most of the day so didn't have time to post this morning.

Last Friday we went to an event organized for new immigrants in the community.  All was free but we didn't go for supper.  we arrived for the Mariachis, followed by the oriental dancing and African music and dance.  A DJ  with latin music finished off the evening.  Was a nice time.

Saturday we had grandbabies from noon and they slept here. Parents picked them up for their pool classes Sunday morning.  I went to an event for elders, lots of informative kiosks and conferences.  I bought a book from the guest of honor (she is a local singer, actress and writer).  I stayed a few hours.  came back home for a few chores before going to restaurant with dh, sil and bil.

Today was errands all day as tai-chi class was cancelled (teacher had a neck operation today).

Christmas ornaments for hanging on wood tree dh made, walmart, costco, dollar store and a few stores to buy a new rocking chair for me (was not easy as most are deep and high and I am short!)... boy the price of those things now!  ah well the other one my parents had bought me when I had my daughter 33 years ago.  It will be delivered on Wednesday, that'll be my Christmas gift from me to me.

Work on Christmas ornament - prototype is not working out so I've decided to change and try something else.
