Happy Homemaker 2019-12-02

Welcome to December!

My mother's oldest sister passed away this week in Abitibi (a 9 hour ride from here) and the funerals are today so we didn't make it but my parents went with my brother (6 hour ride for them).  She lived in a home the last few years and suffered from Alzheimers, she had 9 children.

My daughter in law has Pupps pregnancy rash and it seems to be really uncomfortable.  She went back to hospital on Saturday (I took care of the dog) and she is open 3cm and they did a stripping of the membrane.  Since she is so miserable with the rash they will schedule by the end of next week to provoke the delivery (she will be 39 weeks in).  So we should have our baby by next weekend! :)  She just called and will come spend the day here - things are starting to move along.

My son and daughter in law came for supper after they got back from the hospital on Saturday night.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. My mother has Alzheimer's and it's a horrible disease. Good luck to your daughter in law on the birth of her baby.

  2. I am sorry to hear of the loss of your aunt. We are currently going through the whole Alzheimer's thing with Pat and have had to admit her to a long-term care facility. It's been a hard week and I feel your loss. Blessings for a good week ahead.

    1. Someone very close is starting to show symptoms, just Don't want to talk about it yet - it is not easy.

  3. I am so sorry for the loss of your aunt. Sorry you weren't able to attend the funerals, that's hard when the distance makes it too much. How exciting though that your grand-baby is soon to make an entrance. Hope you have a great week!

    1. Distance is often a problem here… I live 3 hours away from my close family and 9 hours away from our extended family.
      Have a good week

  4. Brrr those temps! Sincere condolences for the loss of your aunt. It is hard during holidays. Those cozy socks and Afghan sound like first the ticket for cold winter days and nights. Best of wishes with the arrival of the wee one. Hope that rash dissipates very soon! Will this be your first “grand”?
