Happy homemaker 2019-02-11

Linking up to Sandra at Diary of a Stay at home mom

Been a super busy week at work but all went well.  Busy at home too with dh working on the bathroom remodel too.
Saturday my husband went to help my son get the snow off his roof and we were invited for supper with them.
Sunday we worked around the house and my son, his girlfriend and Zac-the-dog came to spend the afternoon with us (my son had a hockey game but the other 2 stayed here).  We ordered pizza for supper, I know, I know one day late for National Pizza day ;)  They left around 7:00.
Computer is really not working well, it keeps shutting off, missing the time to go shop for one now that I've got the boys at the office telling me which one to buy.
Last Friday my dad was working on the garage door and a spring hit his eye.  he was lucky to have his glasses on or he would've lost his eye.  As it is they weren't sure at first (he couldn't see) but seems he will be ok (blood in the eye).  He had to have a few stitches done above the eye too.  Doctor has been checking up on him every day since then and he will have a scan scheduled too.   Hoping all keeps going well.

Quote of the week

  1. I hope you had a GREAT week. I didn't get as much accomplished in blogland as I would have liked and am extremely late visiting everyone - so much so that it's time to post today's almost. I LOVE that quote - that is exactly how it's been around here!

  2. Oh, no! Your poor dad! Am praying health and healing over his eye and for a full and complete recovery. Have a great week ahead, Lucy! Blessings! <3

  4. Your quote of the week is funny and quite accurate for this area when snow is forecast. So scary about your dad, glad his glasses were there to stop things. Hope you have a great week!

  5. So sorry your dad got hurt, but thankful he was wearing glasses! LMBO at your quote because it's so true! Even when we lived in the U.P. which has horrific winters EVERY SINGLE YEAR there were those people caught completely unaware! Have a WONDERFUL week.
