Happy Homemaker 2018-04-30

Linking up to Sandra at Diary of a Stay at home mom

For those who don't know I work 4 days a week (32 hours), which means Monday is my day off - I try to keep some 'ME' time on Mondays.
Last Tuesday I ended up at the local hospital (almost a clinic) because my ovary was hurting and diffused pain in the kidneys... blood tests, urine test and radios.... finally couldn't quite put a finger on it so I went back home until it either passed or to go to the other hospital for further tests.  I realized it was probably another kidney stone but this one is just wondering around.  Usually when I go for a kidney stone it's stuck so it's not the same symptoms.  So I took some medication I got last Fall to make it pass.  Don't know if it did or not but whatever as soon as I took the medication I felt fine.  FYI: I have passed 3 stones at the hospital (seperate occasions), 1 while waiting (one that was not stuck) at the emergency room, 1 in New Orleans, and now this one - so it's getting quite a habit!
Yoga tune-up class with balls this week was hamstrings - yikes!  it did help alot though, but up until now my favorite one was the feet.
Since I missed Tuesday at work I caught up on my paint class Thursday at noon - so I did not get my Spanish dinner with friends.
Friday was some errands (for wood).
My husband is making the wooden platform outside bigger because the new gazebo we bought is bigger.
Rain all weekend! And still raining alot this morning.  Oh and NO MORE snow on the ground!

So let's get this HHM started:

Finished a pair of pink knitted socks.  Today I'll get the loose ends in and block it so they will be ready to add to my box for Christmas gifts.
I have taken out my acrylic paint and got everything ready on the table today... I'd like to test doing a wood slice ornament for Christmas and give the base-coat to a wooden birdhouse to make a gingerbread house with it.

Looking forward to
Balmy temperatures coming up!

    1. I HATE mosquitoes, which is why we NEED a gazebo :) And I love to have some shade, we don't have many trees anymore and I can't stand staying in the sun all the time

That's a really nice gazebo - should make for great summer fun now that your snow is gone.
