Recipe for today - an easy-peasy appetizer: Cheese tree
Ingredients
5 eight-ounce bars of different cheeses
5 eight-ounce bars of different cheeses
1 bundle fresh thyme sprigs
Red grape or "teardrop" tomatoes (can substitute cherry tomatoes or olives)
1 large white button mushroom
Directions
1. Cut each bar of cheddar into 1-inch cubes.
2. On large platter or cutting board, arrange cubes in rows to form tree shape, using a different flavor for each row and separating flavors with thyme sprigs and rows of tomatoes or olives.
3. For the star on top, peel skin from mushroom; press star pattern into mushroom with point of knife.

The cheese tree looks yummy. I would probably eat the whole thing myself!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that cheese tray...? Such a simple idea and could be adapted to most food stuff. I want to do this!!! Bring on Christmas ....not too soon, I'm not organised enough lol.
