- Use crockpots (I've got 2)
- Use warming plates (I've got one with 2 sections)
- Make in advance meals
- Use the freezer!
- Buffet style (potato bar, soup & bread bar, chinese, appetizers, salad bar, etc...)
That's what I've come up with so far.

- Style buffet (bar à salades, bar à soupe & pain, bar a patates au four & garnitures, buffet chinois, buffet d'entrées, etc...)
Ce sont mes idées à date.
Voici une copie de ma liste pour congélateur que j'utilise dans le temps des fêtes
I absolutely agree! We used to have a Christmas Eve cold buffet and a roast dinner on Christmas Day - now we skip the roast dinner and just snack on the buffet leftovers for several days. I make a big ham so that we can have ham sandwiches or sliced ham with salad, and then the ham bone ends up as ham and bean soup. It is so nice not to be confined to the kitchen on Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteI also stock up on party food at the freezer store - mini quiches, meatballs and other finger food fare for our Holiday Open House. One CrockPot of sweet and sour meatballs and one of mini franks in BBQ sauce, cheese, crackers, dips and the quiches makes a great party.
I am a huge fan of crockpot for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI love my crockpots. I have two!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Lucie if you haven't figured out yet I LOVE simple but nice...
