Welcome to Lucie’s CIJ 2019!  Starting tomorrow, I will share with you MY favorite ornaments from my Christmas tree.

Bonne St-Jean Baptiste!  Happy birthday Quebec (today is our provincial holiday) - a day off work.

Lots happened last week - Lunch with 3 friends on Tuesday, had a retirement party to attend on Wednesday, my son got his new (to him) car, errands at costco (exchanges), free yoga Friday at noon at Le Monastère des Augustines

Monday: 

• Post here - DONE
• Cook big pack of sausages bought at costco's
• Giving away a big wood couch - should be picked up this morning
• Bake muffins
• Menu plan (lots happening this week so we'll see)
• Clear out fridge
• Wash lettuce
• Put away hot-chocolate bar
• Weed some of flowers in front of the house

Tuesday: (taking a vacation day)

• Send ebooks to one of my friends
• Put ebooks on hard drive
• Laundry
• Declutter
• Interview to prep (have an interview on Wednesday at another place)
• Overnight oats
• Start prepping stock for fish trip and 4-day vacation trip
• More weeding

Good Monday morning

Let's see what happened last week:

• Went for a walk one day before work at 6:00 am to visit Old Quebec - saw some stray cats near the hospital (someone is feeding them as there were some pots with catfood and water at the corner of the empty lot :) ).
• Lunch at a restaurant with the girls at work - lots of laughter and a good lunch at Le Pub du Parvis.
• My son and his girlfriend bought a new car (new to them), they will have it next Wednesday.
• We babysat on Thursday (they went car shopping) and Friday (they had a baseball game to see with the company my son works for)
• Friday night dh's cousin and his girlfriend came over in the evening for some chatting and a drink (tea for me).  I was also my nephew's high-school graduation
• Saturday we picked my daughter and then we went to my parent's house.  There was the mud-race in the morning and my brother and some cousins went - they all came by for lunch afterwards at my parent's house (mechoui).  In the evening we went to my brother's house to visit.
• Sunday was brunch for Father's day at my sister's house.  Then we dropped off my daughter and had lunch with her and her boyfriend (we got Subway's on the way there).  Stopped by Costco's for a few errands and got home around supper time.  We went to the cemetary in the evening to visit with my husband's dad.

Nothing was done during the weekend with our visiting our parents (except for the main bathroom on Friday night).  I did unpack, make muffins and started the laundry Sunday night.

Monday: 

• Post here - DONE
• Exercise - did a few stretches only.
• Laundry - started and ongoing.
• Dentist appointment at 2:40 pm for a filling.
• Prep gym clothes / work clothes - DONE
• Errands : dollarstore, grocery store....
• Pay bills - DONE
• Find a plug for dh's phone and put it in the car - DONE
• Find an adapter for my mp3 to fit in the car - found one will have to see if it works (if not will have to buy one) - DONE
• Overnight oats
• Prep lunches for tomorrow
• Whatever else I have time to do

Morning!

Last week was my 2nd and last day of 1st-aid training - I think they should give this training (or part of it) in all high-schools.

Friday we babysat my son's dog and he slept over.

Saturday was housechores all day ... guess what???  My husband finished the bathroom remodel!  (I still have to buy toilet paper holder, bath carpet and a few odds and ends and that's it). 
In the afternoon was hockey draft for the LHJMQ in Quebec and my cousins'son was drafted by les Voltigeurs de Drummondville - félicitations à Mickael.
Then, my sister called and we met them as well as my aunt and uncle for supper in Old Québec.  
Sunday was more housechores but it was a nice day so I spent the afternoon outside reading, knitting, doing crossword puzzles.

Happy homemaker 2019-06-03

Morning!

Last week I had a day of 1st aid training - was really fun and interesting.  Still have another day of it this Thursday.

Saturday my daughter, her boyfriend, sis and bil, dad and mom arrived for lunch.  Supper was at my son's house for the big gender reveal (see video at bottom of post)- hotdogs / chips.  I brought a big pasta salad, cheese, pickled eggs, veggies and dip.  Around 25-30 people.  We left after supper and left them with their friends.  

Sunday everyone left in the morning.  My son and his girlfriend came by for breakfast too.  We had another water leak... so the wall in the guest room is now opened :(  On the other hand the bathroom looks much better now, still another few things to finish it off.  

Now to pursue our topic:
