Happy Homemaker 2020-09-28

 Good morning!

Coronavirus update around here.... they are asking us to cancel plans for Thanksgiving (ours is October 12th), we are not doing well - some people are not respecting measures.  We are now orange (green, yellow, orange and red)... I wrote this on Sunday night but this morning they are saying we will be passing to red.

After my appointments last Monday & Tuesday, had more appointments to schedule... 7 more!!   Doc says I should be back to normal for 2021!?!... another doctor's appointment, another endocrinologist appointment, 2 bloodwork appointments, ECG, ostodensiometry, and another physical therapist appointment, phew!   Now that all is scheduled I'm thinking some will be cancelled if we are in the red zone.

Friday my grandson came for supper while his parents went for supper at the restaurant.

Had govt exams on Saturday for my job - found it difficult and nerve-wracking.  Kids came for supper Saturday and Xavier slept over.  My husband worked on my son's garage with him this weekend.  Son and daughter in law came back for lunch Sunday and left after supper.

Happy Homemaker 2020-09-20

Good morning!

After 8 days of waiting, my husband got a negatif result for his covid-testing... meanwhile we did not go out (he worked from home even though it is not the ideal job for that) and we did not see the kids either.

We got to see my grandson on Friday night - he came over for supper after his daycare.

Saturday morning my husband and I went to work on my son's garage (the back-siding of the garage is not finished).  Kids had a brunch at her father's house.  They stopped by for lunch.  In the afternoon my husband and son worked on the garage and daughter-in-law got some sleep (she has been feeling nauseous and vomiting the last few days with this pregnancy).  I stayed home with Xavier.  They came for supper and left afterwards to rest some.  Xavier stayed the night with us.

Sunday - my husband spent the morning at my son's house with him.  They all arrived for lunch here and left with Xavier after lunch.  We went out for supper for some pizza.. maybe the last time for awhile, as it was announced that we are now going in the orange zone for covid-19 (green, yellow, orange and red are the zones).

Orange means:  bars don't serve liquor after 11:00 pm, they close at midnight.  No more than 6 people inside a house (2 different adresses), 1 person per family to go in the groceries and stores, .... too many new cases in the last 2 weeks.

 Good morning!

So last week the dishwasher went kaput!  Flames and smoke  - a good thing we were there to stop it right away.  We will be shopping for a new dishwasher.

DH was sent home Friday afternoon after a covid test, we are awaiting results.  4 cases at his work.  don't think he has it, had a minimal chance of contracting it and no symptoms but we wait... and are confined until results.  We had a funeral to attend on Saturday (his godfather) but we couldn't go - he was upset about that.

We haven't seen the kids this weekend either because of this, so we puttered around the house.  He finally cleared up the garage enough to get the car in there.  Mostly reorganized.  I will be making a few jars of beets this week... was going to do it on Sunday but ran out of sugar and can't go out to the grocery store.

Hopefully we get results today and then we can get out and do our stuff.

Bathroom blinds finally arrived at the store, dh will pick them up this week.

Good morning!

A quick - late post.  It's labor day weekend here.

Had my 2nd dose for the shingles last Wednesday... my arm hurt 3 days and I had horrible headaches.

Saturday we went to see my parents and my siblings at my parent's camping station.  My daughter and Xavier came with us.  We slept at my brother house and came back on Sunday.  Was nice to see them all and they were all happy to see the kid.  He has started to talk jibberish and he is so funny.

How I am feeling this morning
Was a horrible night.... my ears were hurting as well as my jaw and big headaches.  took tylenol every 4 hours .  This morning ears are not hurting as much ... I'm thinking it's all because the prednisone pills have lower dosage, hoping it won't all come back.
Right now it's 10:45 and feeling much better ... even though I'm having hot flashes.

On my mind
Lots to do but won't accomplish much.  My husband is helping my son with finishing off the exterior of his garage and my daughter in law is working... so I have my grandson with me, probably for the day.

Daughter-in-law has told us last weekend she is pregnant for the 2nd time... should be in May.  we are very happy with that news.

On the breakfast plate
2 eggo waffles with butter and maple syrup and a glass of oat milk
